Ferrum Waschtechnik, IPSO Partner in Switzerland, equips laundry in newly built nursing home

The 'Öbere Mühle AG (AZOM)' nursing home in Lenzburg,Switzerland, decided to build a place for the elderly where they would still have their freedom, a lot of space and feel right at home. They created a building of 98 rooms and a few serviced houses with 1 to 4 rooms per house, which opened in April 2016.

One of the most important goals of the builder was to have an own in-house laundry service, where people can have their laundry, dry cleaning, ironing and folding done. The laundry is used for the residents, staff uniforms, bed and bath linen but also for the laundry of local groups like e.g. the local soccer team.

Based on this wish list, IPSO Partner Ferrum Waschtechnik AG advised the Öbere Mühle Alterzentrum with their technical knowledge, their experience and know-how.They proposed the appropriate machines for the wanted capacity, with a margin for external laundry assignments included. They ended up installing three IPSO washer-extractors of 8,14 and 24 kgs and two tumble-dryers of 14 and 25 kgs. As hygiene is very important in a nursing home, they decided to install a barrier washer in a separate room, so the risk of infection would be ruled out.

All of the washers are linked to a dosing system, with the flexibility to add different brands of liquids. Next to the different washers and dryers, they also provide a CL 500-ironer with a diameter of 50 cm, as well as some ironing tables.

The IPSO team would like to thank Ferrum Waschtechnik for the made efforts and for this business case.
